I am a bit like a wedding cake… I certainly have many layers!
I’ve built a career around communications and marketing, and I’m also a qualified florist due to my love of nature and flowers. As a sole parent to a teen and pre-teen, I found myself at a crossroads when my full-time marketing and events role became redundant. I decided this was the universe’s way of telling me it was time to pursue something for myself. I knew I wanted to unite all my key skills into one cohesive package.
It was time for a new recipe.
With a comprehensive background in events, communications, and floristry, I took my people skills, added a generous dollop of wordsmithing, stirred in a healthy splash of presenting and facilitation abilities, and mixed in my love of flowers and nature for that little extra something. This journey led me to re-train as a celebrant to work alongside my flower projects, as it marries (pun intended!) all my skills.
And so Camelias Ceremonies was born to work in serendipity with my love of nature and being creative with flowers and decorating spaces.
Whether home or away, I am usually out and about in nature 😊
